Do you stop by libraries and bookstores when you are traveling? It is something that I love to do. I have traveled to bookstores all over. From old to new, in big cities and small towns, this is a favorite past time. I love to pop into a bookstore, have a latte and find the perfect books to read while traveling.
Over the holidays, I took a trip through Connecticut and here are a few of the bookstores, libraries and literary sites that I saw on the trip.
R.J. Julia Booksellers is a great bookstore in Madison, CT. From cookbooks to contemporary, this is a great shop!
The Hickory Stick Bookshop in quaint Washington, CT offers a wide selection of books and gifts.
Gunn Memorial Library in Washington, CT.
House of Books in Kent, CT where I picked up a few books.
And a few bits of history…
Mark Twain’s House in Hartford, CT.
You can see the Harriet Beecher Stowe Center across the way.
What are your favorite bookstores?
I hope that you find all your dreams in books and travels!
