The first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season signals that it is a time to slow down – A time to relax and prepare for winter. A time to take in fall colors and spend time with friends and family.
And then it hit me. I haven’t had a Pumpkin Spice Latte this year. Has Fall even begun if I haven’t had a PSL? Well, yes. The falling tree does make a sound even if no one is there to hear it and Fall has started even without me taking note. So, I mentally made a note to relax!
Nothing says relaxation like putting it in your planner.
Life is busy, but we need to take time to stop and see the Fall foliage. So last week, I bought some new Fall linens, put out some Fall décor and made Boeuf Bourguignon. I took an evening to relax with my husband and enjoy the season and even though I still have a million deadlines, it was nice to forget about them for an evening. And what happened the next day? I felt like I accomplished so much more than normal.
It is amazing what you can do when you are refreshed. I have to get back to work now, but am looking forward to a vacation that I have planned in a few weeks. My Kindle is loaded with books, I have a Beta read copy of a friend’s book and I am ready to explore Scotland.
Life is busy, but remember to take time for yourself. I know I’m going to slow down a bit before I miss the last changed leaves falling to the ground.
Happy Reading and Happy Lattes!

Finding time to relax is hard. Hoping to pencil it in soon so I can stop and smell the pumpkin spice latte. This is my favorite season and I don’t want to miss it. 🙂
Glad you were able to squeeze in some relaxation time.
